2-Minute Rawa Uttapam – Healthy & Tasty Indian Breakfast

“Maggi might not cook in 2 minutes anymore, but this super quick and delicious Rawa Uttapam definitely will!”

📝 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup semolina (rava/sooji)
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 finely chopped capsicum (bell pepper)
  • 1 grated carrot
  • 2 chopped green chilies
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • Fresh coriander (chopped)
  • ½ cup curd (yogurt)
  • 1 sachet of Eno (fruit salt)
  • Salt to taste

🌶️ For Tempering (Tadka):

  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • A few curry leaves
  • 1 whole dry red chili
  • 1 tsp cooking oil (mustard oil preferred)

👩‍🍳 Method:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine semolina, chopped vegetables, curd, coriander, green chilies, and salt.
  2. Add water as needed to make a smooth batter.
  3. Add Eno and mix gently.
  4. Prepare tempering: Heat oil, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and red chili. Let it splutter carefully.
  5. Add the hot tempering to the batter and mix.
  6. Heat a non-stick pan, grease lightly, and pour a ladleful of batter. Spread like a pancake.
  7. Cover and cook on medium heat. Flip to cook both sides until golden brown.
  8. Serve hot with chutney or ketchup!
